After the completion of a yearlong investigation, Fr. Robert Vaillancourt will be returned to active ministry, effective immediately. Two allegations of sexual abuse of minor girls in the 1980s were determined to be unfounded. Fr. Vaillancourt has not yet received a new assignment from the diocese.

The 8am Mass on Friday, August 5th will take place at St. Bernard in Rockland to begin the 24-Hour Eucharistic Adoration for this month - therefore, there will be no 8am Mass at St. Francis in Belfast.

Island Masses at St. Mary's on Islesboro and Vinalhaven begin this weekend (and North Haven TBA)! Masses will be on Saturday mornings at 9:00am at both St. Mary's, Islesboro and Vinalhaven (at Union Church). Masses on North Haven when announced, TBA.
